FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions that come up, answered properly rather than in one line.

Does MasterCV invent experience I do not have?

No, and that is checked rather than promised. The model is explicitly forbidden from creating an experience, a degree or a date; it can only reword, reorder and select from what is in your master CV. Every document it produces is then cross-checked: if an employer or an institution appears that is not in your original CV, the generation is rejected and run again. You remain responsible for what you send, but the app will not put you in a position you cannot defend.

What does it cost?

The app is free to download and you receive 5 AI credits every week without buying anything. A complete application — reading the ad, researching the company, CV and cover letter — costs 1 credit. Editing a passage costs 0.2 credits. There is no subscription: if you want more than your weekly allowance you buy credits outright, and they do not expire.

Will the CV get through automated filters (ATS)?

That is the structural constraint behind all five styles. Each one renders a single column, real selectable text — never an image — standard section headings and reverse-chronological order. What changes between styles is the typeface, the accent colour and the rhythm; what never changes is what screening software can read. On top of that, the application screen tells you how many of the posting’s keywords your CV actually covers.

Where does my CV data go?

Your account, your CV and your applications are stored with Supabase, with per-user isolation enforced at the database level: nobody but you can read your rows. When you trigger a generation, the necessary text is sent to our AI provider, DeepSeek, whose servers are in China. That only happens when you start the action yourself, and it is stated plainly in the privacy policy rather than buried in a footnote. Your content is never used to train a model and is never sold.

Which phones does it work on?

Android today. The iOS version does not have an App Store listing yet. There is no web version of the app itself: this site presents the product, it is not the product.

Which languages?

The interface is in French and English, with French as the default. Documents are generated in the language of the posting: an English ad produces an English CV. Arabic is planned, including a full right-to-left interface rather than a translation dropped into a left-to-right layout.

What if my CV does not fit on one page?

The app knows the page budget before it writes, not after. It depends on your experience level — inferred from your dates, and changeable in settings — and it is given to the model as a line count it can actually count. At export, the layout is fitted in both directions: tightened if the document overflows, opened up if it leaves half a page blank. And if it still will not fit, you are offered the longer PDF rather than charged with nothing to show for it.

Can I change what the model wrote?

Yes, two ways. You can edit the text directly, like any document. Or you highlight a passage and ask for something else — shorter, more concrete, a different angle — and only the selection is rewritten. The rest of the document is untouched, which means you do not lose a sentence you had already approved.

How do I delete my account and my data?

From the app’s settings, in one action. Deletion is immediate and permanent: the account, the master CV, the applications, the generated documents and the stored files all go together. There is no retention window during which we keep a copy.

Who publishes MasterCV?

HJDG Company, in Morocco. The app was built for the Moroccan market first — which is why French is the default — and works everywhere else. For any question, including about your personal data: hjdgcompany@gmail.com.
